What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst internship position at Grey State Apparel?
About Grey State Apparel
Grey State Apparel is a women‑owned sustainable and ethical fashion brand that offers relaxed, seasonless apparel designed to complement rather than complicate. They are committed to ethical manufacturing, soft eco‑friendly fabrics, transparency in production, and reducing environmental impact.
We're looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our team and support key data-driven projects across marketing, e-commerce, operations, and product development. This paid internship is ideal for someone passionate about using data to drive business decisions—and who’s equally interested in fashion, sustainability, and transparency.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world data and work alongside a small, dynamic team to turn insights into impact.
What You’ll Do
Analyze Sales & Website Data:
Track and interpret trends in online sales, customer behavior, and product performance using tools like Google Analytics and Shopify reports.
Build Reports & Dashboards
Create and maintain reports that monitor KPIs such as sales, conversion rates, returns, inventory levels, and marketing effectiveness.
Support Inventory & Forecasting
Help identify fast- and slow-moving inventory and assist with demand forecasting to reduce waste and optimize stock levels.
Customer Segmentation & Insights
Use customer data to segment audiences, analyze buying patterns, and suggest improvements to customer experience and retention.
Evaluate Marketing Performance
Analyze digital marketing campaigns (email, paid ads, social media) to identify ROI and opportunities for optimization.
Contribute To Sustainability Tracking
Assist in tracking sustainability-related data (e.g., recycled materials, carbon footprint, ethical sourcing).
