What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller, Multi-Division Contracting Company position at Grey Development?
We are a growing contracting group based in Decatur, Georgia, made up of three divisions that share leadership, crews and a back office:
- Grey Development: a heavy civil contractor for public and private owners, building athletic fields, site development, grading, and wet and dry utilities across Georgia, Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina. One Partner. Full Exterior Solutions.
- Lawn Capital: an all electric landscape company serving residential, commercial and public sector properties through recurring maintenance and small installation and enhancement jobs.
- Agronomy: a division running its own small jobs and recurring maintenance work.
We have grown into a multi-division contracting company, and our financial structure has not kept pace. Each division needs its own books, controls, budgets, forecasts and material management, and today that work is spread across leadership instead of owned by one person.
We are hiring a Financial Controller to own the numbers for all three divisions: keep each set of books clean and separate, give leadership a clear P&L for every division, and build the controls that let us keep growing.
- Full division P&L, from job budgets and job costing in JobTread through monthly financial statements
