Gresham’s investment success is driven by sourcing and vetting less-traditional investment solutions across both public and private markets. The Investment Analyst will initially concentrate on private market investment opportunities with potential to work across the portfolio. The analyst role will be based in Chicago.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support the investment team in a variety of analytical needs, including the creation and improvement of analytical tools, and the sourcing and incorporation of data to improve investment insights and decision making
- Support manager due-diligence and ongoing surveillance analysis
- Attend and participate in in-house manager meetings
- Assist in preparing, editing, and organizing investment recommendations and support material for investment committee meetings
- Assist in preparing performance reports and analysis
- Contribute to the identification and evaluation of significant investment themes that influence client asset allocation decisions
- Contribute to research projects on different investment strategies, markets, and geographies
- Contribute to regular client investment updates, including Gresham’s Annual Outlook and periodic updates to clients
- Support client service and business development teams as needed
Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference for finance and strong academic performance
- CFA candidate preferred
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- At least two years of previous financial industry experience
- Strong familiarity with, and interest in, investment concepts and financial markets and models
- Extensive experience in, and high proficiency with, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Independent thinker, puzzler solver and eager learner
- Ability to elicit, value, and weigh conflicting opinions.
- Ability to evaluate conflicting mental models of investing down to a day-to-day business level.
- Self-motivated, proactive and a willingness to work productively and nimbly as part of a small team. demonstrated growth mindset driven by intellectual curiosity and humility.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and audiences; strong relationship-building skills.

- Total Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000
