Role Description The Quality Engineer role at Greno Industries, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Scotia, NY. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for machined parts and support operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, performing inspections and audits, analyzing quality data, and identifying root causes of defects or nonconformities. The Quality Engineer collaborates closely with production, engineering, and management teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, improve processes, and ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements. The role also involves preparing quality documentation, supporting customer and regulatory audits, and contributing to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Engineering and Product Quality, with the ability to apply engineering principles to machining and manufacturing processes.
- Strong background in Quality Control, including inspection techniques, measurement tools, and data analysis for in-process and final product verification.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices, such as developing procedures, documentation, and standards to ensure consistent quality across operations.
- Experience with Quality Management systems, including establishing metrics, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Familiarity with machining processes, GD&T, and reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to lead corrective and preventive action initiatives.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and interact with customers as needed.
- Experience with ISO or other quality standards and audit processes is highly beneficial.
