We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. The Route Driver will operate a box truck and may utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods to designated locations on scheduled routes.
- Load and unload products, ensuring that all items are secured for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure timely deliveries to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, including familiarity with loading and unloading procedures.
- Valid commercial driving license with experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving efficiency.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
