Position: Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including input and output of goods, material movement, and maintaining accurate inventory and records within SAP. This role ensures adherence to FIFO principles, maintains accountability within the warehouse team, verifies cycle counts, and ensures correct information flow through SAP. The Warehouse Supervisor provides direct leadership to warehouse members, planning and assigning daily work, optimizing labor utilization, enforcing procedures, and performing all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Main Responsibilities: Warehouse Duties:
- Ensure all logistics personnel adhere to company safety policies and work in a safe manner.
- Plan and manage daily activities of the logistics department to ensure operational efficiency and effective utilization of all warehouse members.
- Manage material movement into production per the production schedule, following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methodology for all materials and finished goods.
- Manage finished goods (FG) movement into the warehouse and outbound shipments to customers.
- Ensure logistics personnel print HRL labels accurately and place them on the correct product.
- Manage inbound and outbound goods, dispatch planning, scheduling, and tenders.
- Coordinate with third-party haulers, assist with preparing and analyzing quarterly RFQs to freight haulers.
- Arrange delivery of finished products to customers on time and in full.
- Support stock and raw material management, monitoring and controlling resources in the SAP system.
- Verify and approve cycle counts, ensuring accuracy between physical stock and SAP records.
- Maintain correct and up-to-date information in SAP regarding material movements, adjustments, and locations.
- Establish clear accountability within the warehouse team for accuracy, performance, and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee warehouse member utilization, ensuring balanced workloads, productivity, and coverage across shifts.
- Supervise and train all warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and performance expectations.
- Implement and adhere to all internal processes and procedures.
- Be available to work on short notice and weekends when necessary to support production and customer needs.
- Manage cycle counts and physical inventories and lead corrective actions for variances.
- Perform any other duties or projects as assigned.
Leadership
- Assume direct responsibility for logistics personnel—providing coaching, direction, and performance feedback.
- Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and ensure accountability at all levels.
- Develop department skill matrices and training plans aligned with company goals.
- Foster effective two-way communication through meetings and daily updates.
- Recognize and reward high performance; manage underperformance in alignment with company policy.
Continuous Improvement
- Support and advance the organization’s Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) using Lean tools and principles.
- Promote team involvement in problem-solving, waste reduction, and process improvement.
- Maintain effective communication structures (daily meetings, whiteboards, targets).
- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Compliance
- Deliver, improve, and maintain quality standards throughout the warehouse.
- Identify and address quality issues using the non-conformance process.
- Support and enforce Food Safety requirements (SQF/FDA, Hygiene Code of Practice).
- Ensure the warehouse team is trained and aligned to meet food safety and quality objectives.
SNC/NCMR’s
- Plan and process vendor returns and transportation-related SNCs through resolution and closure.
- Perform SAP inventory moves, blocking, adjustments, scrapping, and corrections with documentation.
- Track and close quality management (QM) tasks.
Production Support
- Ensure timely, accurate, and FIFO-based material supply to production to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, and Quality to align warehouse activities with production flow.

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Demonstrated leadership and accountability experience.
- Continuous Improvement and Lean background preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
