Oversee two full time employees, and work closely with the owners to manage 3,000 acres of corn and soybeans, and over 700 head of cattle. This hands-on role involves planning and executing all aspects of livestock care, and assisting with planting and harvest while leading a small team and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate brings practical cattle experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and sustainability. What you will do...
- Oversee daily farm/ranch operations for row crops and cattle, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee cattle care, including feeding, calving, grazing rotations, breeding, and overall herd health.
- Lead and support the farm team by scheduling work, training employees, and jumping in where needed.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and farm infrastructure to keep everything in top working condition.
- Monitor soil health and pasture productivity, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
- Keep records organized and help, inputs, and manage inventory.
- Promote safety, sustainability, and stewardship across all areas of the operation.
What You Will Bring...
- Experience in cattle or livestock production
- Basic farm equipment maintenance knowledge
- Experience in crop production is a plus
