In this role, you will be responsible for safely administering medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. You will also monitor residents for any medication-related reactions, document administration, and report concerns to nursing staff.
Duties
- Administer prescribed medications to residents following proper procedures.
- Accurately document medication administration and resident responses.
- Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Assist with daily living activities and provide compassionate care.
- Communicate with nurses, residents, and families regarding medication needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and storage area.
Experience
- Valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
- Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare staff.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- CPR Certification
