Hostess/To-Go Specialist

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Handle restaurant reservation management using our table management systems, ensuring accurate booking and waitlist updates
• Assist guests with to-go orders, including taking phone orders via professional phone etiquette and entering details into POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service and ensure food safety standards are met
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and providing exceptional customer service throughout their experience
• Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the host stand area, including menus, reservation logs, and seating charts
• Support the restaurant’s operational needs by assisting with basic math calculations for bill processing and order accuracy

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred; strong guest services skills are essential
• Experience with restaurant reservation management and restaurant table management
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, to engage with guests professionally
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently in a busy environment
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and order calculations
