Maintenance Planner

Summary: The Maintenance Planner position is a new role within the Maintenance team responsible for scheduling the work activity of the Maintenance team. This position prepares efficient and effective work plans for all Preventative, Predictive, Condition-Based, and Project/Backlog Maintenance work. This position works with the Corporate Purchasing Team and Maintenance Manager to ensure parts are available and ready for each job. The role coordinates execution of the maintenance plan in conjunction with the production schedule.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Supervise and manage all aspects of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure data accuracy and the effective execution of maintenance activities.
  • Plan all Predictive, Preventive, and Condition-Based Maintenance activities in coordination with production and operational schedules, ensuring the availability of necessary resources (technicians, operators, parts, equipment) for efficient execution.
  • Prioritize and escalate critical work orders as needed to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Manage CMMS data integrity, ensuring accurate entry of critical information such as Cycle Counts, Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks when modifications, improvements, or additions are made to manufacturing, utility, or support equipment.
  • Monitor plant work order backlog, scheduling backlog work to maintain a reasonable level and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding tasks.
  • Audit and monitor technician data entry and quality within the CMMS, providing training and support as required to ensure meaningful and comprehensive information is logged.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, and technicians to evaluate and convert maintenance notifications into actionable work orders, providing feedback to requestors as necessary.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with production goals.
  • Generate reports and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track maintenance performance, backlog, and schedule compliance, providing actionable insights to site management.
  • Support execution of contracts by preparing scopes of work and managing relationships with vendors for parts, services, and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining flexibility and a proactive approach in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
