We are looking for a Tree Work Groundman to support our tree climbers and bucket truck operators from the ground. In this role, you will be essential to our daily operations by ensuring a safe job site, operating ground equipment, and managing debris clearance. Responsibilities:
- Prepare the job-site by setting up cones, signs, and safety barriers; maintain a clear and secure perimeter around dropping zones
- Assist tree climbers by rigging gear and passing tools/equipment up to the canopy
- Safely operate and maintain chainsaws, wood chippers, leafblowers, and hand tools
- Clear the client's property of debris by dragging brush, heavy logs, and raking debris, ensuring the area is left pristine
- Work closely with crew leaders and team members to complete jobs efficiently
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team setting
