Survey Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Survey Technician to assist with layouts, lines, and grades, providing essential support in a fast-paced environment to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of surveying operations on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with layouts, lines, and grades in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct field layouts and surveying activities using Topcon robotic total stations, Topcon base and Rover GPS systems, and Topcon MAGNET field and Topcon Pocket 3D software.
• Establish exterior-interior grade and working lines for contractors or crafts.
• Assist in evaluating potential dimensions and other field problems.
• May oversee some subcontractor work activities, as assigned.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 70 lbs, and work in outside all weather conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, shop drawings, procedure manuals, and safety rules.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Three (3) years related experience preferred.
• Experience in Komatsu intelligent machine use.
• Willingness and ability to travel to and from job sites.
• Concentration, alertness, and attention to detail.
• General computer operation is necessary.
