Location: Midwest Region, with candidates preferably based in Kentucky, Indiana, or Ohio
Travel: Regional travel required to active project sites

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex heavy civil projects throughout the Midwest. This individual will be responsible for delivering projects safely, efficiently, and with the level of integrity and excellence our clients and employees expect.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, you will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Gregory Construction’s high standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
• Oversee underground utility installation, including water, sewer, storm drainage, and duct banks
• Lead concrete, earthwork, and site development scopes on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk management plans
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and clients
• Manage contracts, change orders, billing, cost reporting, and project documentation
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal leadership and clients
• Promote a safety-first culture while maintaining OSHA compliance and quality standards
• Build trusted client relationships through proactive and professional communication
• Mentor project engineers and support the growth of project teams

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction
• Strong background in one or more of the following:
  • Underground utilities
  • Earthwork
  • Concrete construction
  • Civil infrastructure or site development
• Experience managing projects ranging from approximately $500K to $30M
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration
• Experience with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel throughout the Midwest to support active projects
• A leadership style grounded in accountability, teamwork, and respect

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience
• Experience supporting mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure projects
