Automotive Technician / Mechanic (Internal Technician - Technician experience required)

Gregg Young Omaha is searching for skilled an Internal ServiceTechnician to join our TEAM at our Chevrolet dealership.

Starting with our first dealership over 26 years ago and expanding to 12 dealerships spread throughout NE, IA, and WI, we aim to continue growing our business while simultaneously growing our people and their career paths all while holding true to our 4 Core Values: Ambition, Integrity, Execution, and Serves Others. Internal Service Technician Requirements:

• diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• check in and perform post-delivery inspections on new vehicles, report any issues to the internal service advisor
• able to apply strong diagnostic & problem-solving skills to assess and repair traded in and/or acquired used vehicles to ensure they meet inspection qualifications for retail sales
• test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• competency in automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• ensure all components & systems are working properly to isolate the cause of the problem
• establish working relationships with our quality, professionally trained service advisors to update the status of the vehicle and repair needs
• operate independently as a rapidly as possible to repair / service the concern, & get to the next job with the support of the service manager and service advisors
• maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment; operate in accordance with all protocols and regulations

Internal Service Technician Employment Package:

Hours & Compensation

• Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with rotating Saturdays 8:00am - noon
• up to $35/hour - experience dependent, and is commensurate with experience and manufacturer factory training
