Used Car Reconditioning Technician

Gregg Young Indianola is searching for a skilled Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician to join our TEAM at our Buick GMC dealership.

Ideally, this position is for someone who is looking for a highly flexible work schedule where the work mix is favorable and the workflow is abundant. ASE and/or GM certifications preferred but not required. Dealership experience welcomed, as is independent repair facility experience too.

Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician Requirements:

• test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• perform routine maintenance services as per the mfg. and/or dealership’s used vehicle inspection processes
• communicates directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• ensure all components & systems are working properly to isolate the cause of the problem
• perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards/ manufacturer standards
• establish working relationships with our quality, professionally trained service advisors to provide the best service experience and secure future customer retention & referrals
• operate independently as a rapidly as possible to repair / service the concern, & get to the next job with the support of the service manager and service advisors
• perform video multi-point inspections

Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician Employment Package:

Hours & Compensation

• up to $35/ flat rate hour - experience dependent & is commensurate with experience busy shop with plenty of work with state of the art equipment in a clean facility surrounded by a fun atmosphere
• 40 hour work week
