What You’ll Do
As a Marine Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every vessel we service leaves the shop in top condition. Your day-to-day will include:
- Inspecting boats and motors as they’re received to assess condition and performance.
- Troubleshooting and repairing boats and engines — both customer-owned and dealer stock — under warranty or out of warranty.
- Completing accurate documentation for paid repairs and warranty claims, including follow-up and customer communication.
- Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and running engines prior to customer delivery.
- Assisting with rigging jobs as needed.
- Working Saturdays and extended hours during the busy season to keep customers on the water.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship. You enjoy diagnosing issues, finding solutions, and making sure every customer leaves satisfied. The ideal candidate has:
- Current certification as a Marine Technician (factory or industry-recognized credentials preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Excellent time management skills — able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills when working with customers and teammates.
- Solid understanding of small outboard engine mechanics and marine systems.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background check, MVR review, and possession of a valid driver’s license.
