Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and treatments
- Properly restrain and handle dogs and cats in a safe and low-stress manner
- Prepare exam rooms and assist during appointments
- Obtain patient histories and communicate effectively with clients
- Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostic testing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment, exam, and hospital areas
- Assist with feeding, walking, and caring for hospitalized pets
- Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain medical equipment
- Stock supplies and help ensure the hospital runs efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service while supporting a positive team environment
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including dog handling and equine management.
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with the veterinary team.
- Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain hygiene during medical procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn
- Ability to lift and restrain animals safely
- Ability to perform pet grooming tasks as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with pet owners and colleagues.
