Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Dietary Aide. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation by following recipes accurately and adhering to portion control standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers, ensuring proper maintenance and sanitation
- Prepare and serve meals according to established menus while maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality
- Support the dietary team in cleaning kitchen surfaces, utensils, appliances, and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Help with food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with food safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing, special dietary needs, and ingredient availability
- Contribute to menu planning by providing feedback on meal preferences and assisting in the development of nutritious options for diverse dietary requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary or food service roles, including dietary aide or restaurant experience
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, cooking methods, and recipe adherence
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Understanding of food safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal planning, catering, or serving large groups is preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced setting while following safety protocols
