We are seeking an independent, reliable Junior Carpenter who knows their way around a residential job site and can execute tasks autonomously. You will work alongside our team taking ownership of specific project phases, keeping the workflow fluid, and maintaining a high standard of finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent Execution: Take direction on tasks (such as framing, hanging drywall, or setting trim) and complete them efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Remodeling Support: Assist with our interior projects (kitchen/bath remodels, finish carpentry, cabinetry) and exterior projects (decks, siding, windows, and doors).
- Job Site Flow: Anticipate project needs, accurately measure and cut materials, stage tools, and keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Client Respect: Represent our faith-based values on-site by communicating respectfully with homeowners and treating their property with care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience.
- Carpentry Skills: Solid understanding of framing layouts, wood types, fasteners, and finish trim work. Must read a tape measure flawlessly.
- Tool Proficiency: Confident and safe operation of miter saws, table saws, circular saws, framing/finish nailers, and standard hand tools.
- Own Tools: Must possess your own basic tool setup (tool belt, tape, speed square, chalk line, utility knife, cordless impact driver/drill).
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal truck or vehicle, and a clean, professional presentation.
- Mindset: A strong productive work ethic, a teachable spirit, and absolute reliability.
