Greer Equipment, Inc. is seeking a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join our team in Southwest, Louisiana. This is a field-based position — you’ll report to the office occasionally but spend most of your time working independently on-site at customer locations throughout Southwest, Louisiana. These cities will include Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Sulphur, New Iberia, and all other surrounding cities.
Responsibilities
· Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of supermarket equipment.
· Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.
· Maintain detailed service records and uphold company safety and quality standards.
· Communicate professionally with customers and the service team.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic service preferred.
· Must have basic computer skills and a strong willingness to learn and use new diagnostic and reporting software.
· Willingness to travel occasionally for factory or manufacturer training.
· Availability for overtime when required — includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule (one week at a time, including weekends).
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
