Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to oversee our tree care and landscaping crews while also supporting sales and estimating for new work. This role blends operational leadership with customer engagement — ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in the field, ensures exceptional service quality, and contributes to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Management & Operations
- Oversee daily operations of tree care and landscaping crews.
- Supervise morning equipment loading and preparation to ensure crews depart on schedule.
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to company quality standards.
- Coordinate scheduling, equipment, and material needs for projects.
- Monitor crew performance, provide coaching, and uphold company safety standards.
- Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction.
- Work alongside crews as needed to reinforce safety, productivity, and quality.
- Manage time reviews and approvals in Aspire.
- Achieve a monthly production targets in completed jobs.
Sales Support & Quoting
- Assist in preparing estimates and proposals for new work.
- Meet with customers and prospects to assess project needs.
- Provide technical input and recommendations for landscape enhancements and tree care services.
- Collaborate with office staff to ensure accurate and timely quotes.
- Achieve a monthly sales goal in closed new sales.
Leadership & Development
- Train and mentor crew leaders and team members.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support company initiatives to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Help fill in for team members as needed during absences or high-demand periods.
Qualifications
- 3 years of leadership experience in landscaping, tree care, or related outdoor service management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proficient in scheduling, logistics, and field operations.
- Experience with Aspire or similar landscape business management software preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly valued.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
