Role Description The Program Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Tulsa, OK, responsible for supporting the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs and community initiatives at Greenwood Rising. On a day-to-day basis, this role coordinates program schedules, manages logistics for events and educational activities, and ensures that program goals align with the organization’s mission. The Program Coordinator works closely with staff, partners, volunteers, and visitors to provide a welcoming experience, gather feedback, and assist with outreach and communications related to programs. This role also tracks participation and outcomes, prepares reports, supports project timelines, and helps develop new programming ideas that deepen engagement with Greenwood’s history and community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Program Management and Program Development to coordinate, improve, and expand educational and community-focused initiatives.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service abilities to engage visitors, collaborate with partners, and represent the organization in a professional, inclusive manner.
- Experience with Project Management to organize tasks, manage timelines, and support cross-functional projects and events.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse communities and maintain a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach in all interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with common office software and digital collaboration tools.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in museums, cultural centers, education, or nonprofit setting, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as public administration, education, history, social sciences, or communications) or equivalent combination of training and experience.
