Field Trainer ( Commercial Roofing)

Are you an expert in commercial roofing? We have a unique opportunity for you to share your knowledge to train roofers in the field, on job sites. As a Commercial Roofing Field Trainer, you will train union roofers how to install and repair various types of roofing systems. Responsibilities:

• Create training plans for roofers aimed at helping them to improve identified skills gaps.
• Travel to different job sites or offices to train roofers both in the field and in the classroom.
• Design training plans and ensure participants engage in various learning methods.
• Evaluate training efforts for impact and success.
• Partner with Quality Control to identify potential issues and provide real-time feedback on your observations.
• Prepare classroom lessons to take advantage of inclement weather days.
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• 10 years hands-on commercial roofing experience.
• Exhibit communication skills necessary to manage and facilitate training.
• Able to travel locally to train roofers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all employees via in-person, email, text, and phone.
• Keep updated with new roofing products or techniques used by Greenwood.
• Be prepared for all scheduled training events and provide feedback on success and challenges to the QC Manager and Foremen.
• Willingness to join the union, if not a member already.
