GreenWood, Inc. is now actively recruiting applicants for our Millwright Foreman position. We are looking for applicants who are interested in a Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. Employees normally work Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, 40 hours per week and occasional overtime as needed. We are currently looking for an applicant who is interested in a position without the need to travel. GreenWood does not offer per diem at this job site.
The Millwright Foreman is responsible for leading, directing, planning, and managing the site operations with accountability for production, maintenance, quality, and the efficient and effective operations of installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment to ensure delivery of a work product that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.

Position Responsibilities - Essential
- Directs and manages daily operations for the production, maintenance, quality, and the efficient and effective operations of installing machinery and equipment
- Coordinates site activities through planning to ensure the total manufacturing/production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Establishes and monitors employee performance for production and quality
- Maintains existing site facilities and equipment; replaces, and adjusts site facilities and equipment when necessary
- Confers with upper management to establish production and/or quality standards, develop controls, and obtains required data from all key operational activities
- Provides direction, development, and leadership to employees
- Provides leadership for problem resolutions to facilitate faster improvements, improves working relationships, and exceeds customers’ expectations
- Implements company policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Monitors and measures team performance to company goals and objectives through use of established metrics
- Provides leadership and direction for employees through effective communications, mentoring, coaching, training, and development
- Resolves employee issues through problem resolution techniques
- Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position.
- Plans and conducts meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies, and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards
- Initiates various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules, train new employees
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- Generally, requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in industry
- Proven leader and team player with strong work ethic

- Greater than five years of experience in industry
