Summary Description:

This is a vital role within our organization with a maximum focus on attention to detail. Daily duties include sandblasting, band saw cutting, deburring, stud welding, finishing work, granite assembly, painting and clear coat applications. All duties and tasks must uphold our company standards to produce high-quality memorials, plaques, and sign.

MAJOR DUITIES:

• Safely operates industrial sandblaster.
• Safely operate band saw
• Safely operate handheld grinder
• Safety operates stud welder to attach mounting hardware.
• Safely perform the oxidization process when using the solution tank
• Finishing plaques by utilizing the belt sander or by hand
• Maintain a clean working environment with weekly safety checklist compliance.
• Assemble and palletize granite using the proper tools.
• Safely operate hand tools to achieve desired finish
• Report material discrepancies, equipment, malfunction, and unusual conditions to Supervisor.

MIN0R DUTIES:

• Select proper paints or powder coats and adjust spray guns and/or air pressure as required.
• Assist other staff members in safe and appropriate operations of machinery.
• Perform assembly of products as required.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions as required.
• Willingness and being able to perform other positions or small tasks to help with the flow of the plant you are in or possibly other plants within the organization.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to read tape measures.
• Basic math skills
• Basic mechanical skills and/or aptitude
• Ability to utilize a computer.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Self-starter and self-motivated

· Various equipment including air sander, sand blaster, bake oven, stud welder, sander, band saw, banding machine, tape machine, tape measure, powder coat equipment, and computer

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to: talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, lift to 75 lbs., carry, push, balance, and utilize fingers for picking and pinching.

Must have good depth perception to judge distance and space relationships, clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more and an excellent field of vision

Pay: $20.50 per hour
