What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Services/Facilities Coordinator position at Greenwood Housing Authority?
The Greenwood Housing Authority is accepting applications for a public housing Resident Initiatives/Facilities Coordinator. This person, working in a fast paced computer and accuracy driven work environment: Oversees, creates and maintains resident programs, organizations and supervises any resident employee or volunteer. Plans, coordinates and implements various programs and services that will provide GHA residents with educational, employment, healthcare and homeownership opportunities to enhance their quality of life. Schedules/manages community buildings for use by the public, residents and staff which will include weekends and custodial work. Runs the summer lunch program. Responsible for compliance of HUD’s community service requirement. Also prepares and publishes resident newsletter, posts rent payments, open and close work orders, keep inventory records updated, and enter applications for housing. This position will be cross trained to perform duties of Administrative Services as needed.
Qualifications:
Desired qualifications include an AA in Business, Social Services, a related field or any equivalent combination of job experience and education and two years of substantial work-related public contact. Prior experience in property management or HUD subsidized housing and being bi-lingual are desirable. Must be able to obtain the Public Housing Manager certification within a year of hire. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening, have a valid SC driver’s license with a good driving record, and pass a pre-employment background check. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, bend and reach in the performance of the custodial duties.
