We’re looking for a General Sales Manager to lead and inspire our sales team in the Charlottesville market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, connecting daily with Sales Managers to coach, train, and drive results while maintaining a culture of consistency, communication, and care.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of Sales Managers to exceed performance goals.
- Spend the majority of time in the field providing live coaching, feedback, and support through ride-alongs, model visits, and open houses.
- Assist with weekly/monthly training sessions on discovery, objection handling, financing, and follow-up to continuously elevate team skills.
Accountability & Performance
- Own the sales rhythm: host 1:1s, participate in team meetings, pipeline reviews, and ensure CRM hygiene to allow for accurate forecasting.
- Track key metrics from traffic to contract to close. Identify performance gaps and implement clear action plans.
- Maintain accountability for accuracy in contracts, compliance with pricing and promotions, and complete buyer profiles.
Collaboration & Execution
- Partner with leadership and cross-department teams: Marketing, Design, Construction, Land, and Operations to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Contribute to pricing, marketing, and community launch planning while ensuring seamless field execution.
- Uphold Greenwood Homes’ presentation standards and ensure every home and buyer interaction reflects the brand experience.
Market Insight & Culture
- Monitor competitive activity, incentives, and inventory trends. Report insights and make data-driven recommendations.

Who You Are
- Experienced in new home sales (3–5 years). Leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Known for motivating others through clear communication, training, and follow-through.
- Comfortable working primarily in the field while managing data and CRM tools like HubSpot and Microsoft applications.
- Performance-driven and people-focused with the ability to balance coaching with accountability.
