What You'll Do:
As part of our cleaning crew, you’ll play a vital role in keeping Greenwood County facilities clean and safe by:
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Restocking cleaning supplies and monitoring inventory.
- Emptying trash and maintaining outside areas around facilities.
- Communicating work needs via phone and email systems.
This position involves light to medium physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Six months of custodial or related experience preferred, but not required – we’ll train the right person!
- A valid South Carolina driver’s license.
- Someone who is dependable, a team player, and takes pride in their work.

General Description
The purpose of this class within the organization is to complete various custodial duties at County facilities.
Works under minimal supervision according to set procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Essential Functions:
· Clean and sanitizes restrooms in assigned County buildings.
· Vacuums, mops, buffs, and waxes floors; cleans and stocks restrooms with soap and paper products; cleans windows and other glass, polishes furniture; empties trash, cleans shop, and employee break areas.
· Cleans and sweeps the outside porch area; empties trash.
· Stocks supplies of paper goods, soaps, and cleaners and keeps track of inventory.
Uses phones and email systems for work order submission.
