Temporary PT Voter's Registration Clerk

Greenwood County Voter Registration & Elections

Greenwood County is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Voter Registration & Elections team as a Temporary Part-Time Clerk. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public, is comfortable working with computers and detailed information, and has an interest in the electoral process.

Salary - $15.23/hr.

• Approximately 8–16 hours per week
• Typically 1–2 days per week
• Additional hours will be required during early voting and other busy election periods
• Candidates should have flexibility to work additional hours as election needs arise

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the electoral process and be comfortable working in a busy, detail-oriented office environment.

Successful candidates should:

• Be proficient in typing and general computer use
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Possess strong verbal communication and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
• Be able to read, interpret, and decipher maps and spreadsheets
• Be highly detail-oriented, organized, and accurate
• Be able to adapt to a busy office environment and changing priorities
• Work well with the public and as part of a team
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information

GIS knowledge or experience is preferred.

This position participates in the South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS).
