What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmers Market Sales Associate position at Greenwood Cider?
Greenwood Cider is looking for a farmers market salesperson!
Greenwood Cider is an award-winning urban cidery in Seattle, Washington. As a cidery without a tap room, farmers markets are our sole retail outlet and our only opportunity to interact directly with our customers. As a farmers market salesperson, you are the face and voice for Greenwood Cider to the general public. We are looking for an outgoing individual who is sociable, likes working outside, and has a general love and knowledge for all things food and drink. Extensive cider knowledge not necessary; we will teach you everything we know about cider :)
Responsibilities:
-Set up and tear down the farmers markets booth
-Manage daily operations of the market booth including stocking cider and supplies
-Sample, sell, and talk cider
-Be an honest and open representative of Greenwood Cider to our community
Requirements:
-Must be 21 or older
-Have a valid drivers license
-Have a current alcohol servers permit (MAST Class 12)
-Be able to lift 40lbs
-Be able to work weekends
-Have a reliable vehicle for transporting market gear and cider
Compensation:
-$22/hour plus tips (~$3-8/hour usually)
-Trades cider for groceries at the markets
-$0.80/mile for use of personal vehicle
