POSITION TITLE: Laundromat Attendant
Department: Administration Department
Reports To: Director of Student Services/Assistant Superintendent for Administration
SUMMARY: Facilitate the operation of the district laundromat for homeless families and maintain order in the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other Duties May Be Assigned.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to develop effective working relationships with parents, students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education policies.

- Operates and cares for equipment used in the laundromat.
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
- Schedules adults for available time slots.
- Distributes laundry supplies as needed to adults utilizing the facility.
- Maintains an accurate log of use for documentation purposes.
- Alerts the supervisor of any problem or special information about the operation of the facility.
- Participates in inservice training programs as assigned.
- Ensures parenting materials are provided for families while they wait at the facility.
