SEASONAL PART-TIME
POSITION SUMMARY:
Seasonal position of Summer Camp Archery Instructor will promote imagination and creativity, while providing opportunities for problem solving, team work, and development of communication skills. Provide age-appropriate activities that can be adapted and customized based on the skill level and/or preferences of individual participants at the Camp Seton outdoor site location.

PAY RANGE:
$28/hour - $32/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Meets the individual physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of the participants.
- Activities should be age-appropriate and accommodate for a variety of individual needs and backgrounds.
- Facilitates a program environment that promotes safety, teamwork, and respect; and develops confidence and leadership.
- Provides careful, attentive supervision, and is alert at all times.
- Maintain accurate program documentation (attendance, sign-in/out forms, behavior reports, incident reports, and accident reports, as appropriate).
- Ensures proper maintenance of activity space and equipment.
- Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
- Helps to provide a program that adheres to all YMCA health and safety standards, meeting all YMCA policies.
- Helps to provide a program that exhibits high standards in cleanliness and presentation.
- Upholds the association’s child protection policies, child abuse, and neglect guidelines and proper reporting procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates appropriate decision-making skills
- Reliably works assigned shifts.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the YMCA mission values, purpose, and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum one (1) year experience teaching children/teens archery in a structured setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members of all ages.
- Coaching certificate or equivalent required.
- Prior to or upon hire, completion of YMCA provided First Aid/ CPR/AED certification course.
- Excellent customer service skills.

SALARY/BENEFITS
- Salary is competitive dependent upon experience.
