Learn more at www.greenwichhouse.org The Opportunity Greenwich House is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Physician Assistant to join our team. This role plays a vital part in providing services in our Center for Healing program. Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Physician Assistant will provide medical services and medication management for substance-use disorder patients. ResponsibilitiesPerform physical exams, diagnose substance use disorders, provide medications for opioid use disorder and hepatitis CProvide primary care services to a subset of patientsOrder and review laboratory testsRespond to medical emergencies Embrace and include harm reduction in treatment of patients as part of the spectrum of care for substance use disordersIdentify problems and potential improvements in treatment process and enlist interest and support of other staffConsultation with program medical and treatment staff and external providersAttend and participate in staff meetingsAttend and participate in supervisionComplete all documentation within an Electronic Health Record within designated time framesMeet productivity standardsMaintain accordance with all regulationsPerform other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisorQualificationsNew York State Certified Physician Assistant1 year experience treating patients with substance use disorders preferred, on-site training in addiction medicine provided for highly qualified candidatesActive DEA registrationEnrollment in Medicaid and Medicare as a provider prior to startAt the time of and throughout employment cannot be listed in any of the federal or state Medicaid/Medicare exclusion lists, and Statewide Central Registry for abuse and neglectMicrosoft Suite literate, EHR competent and able to function in a technology driven environmentMust be able to establish rapport with patients who have substance use disorders and other mental health conditionsMust have clarity in oral and written communication when interacting with multidisciplinary treatment team and completing plans and case conference inputMust be able to maintain the normal standard of ethics, conduct and organization policies in job related activitiesMust be able to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasksEmployment Details Location: 190 Mercer Street, New York, NY 10012Schedule: 35 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 6:15AM - 1:45 PMFLSA Classification: Exempt Employment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Chief Medical OfficerUnion Representation: Non-UnionSalary Range The expected base salary for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 annually.
