Lead Electrician with Connecticut License E1 or E2

Greenwich Electric is looking for CT Licensed Journeyman Electricians (E1 or E2) for immediate hire to work on commercial projects in lower Fairfield County. Great opportunity for a reliable & qualified electrician to join our team.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical installations and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in low voltage systems and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Lead Electrician, you will be responsible for leading a team of electricians on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety standards and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians on-site to ensure efficient workflow.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and power distribution.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters for installation and troubleshooting tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with NEC standards.
• Train junior electricians in best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish timelines and project goals.

Skills

• Proficient in low voltage electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
• Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols.
• Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to electrical work.
• Familiarity with commercial electrician standards and practices.
• Ability to operate testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
