This is a part-time, on-site role located in Stamford, CT, for a PT Reading Specialist. The Reading Specialist will provide targeted reading intervention, deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, and support literacy development for middle school students. The specialist will assess student needs, develop personalized strategies to improve reading comprehension, and collaborate with educators to ensure alignment with the curriculum and individual goals.
- Expertise in Reading Comprehension and Literacy development
- Experience with Reading Intervention programs and advanced tutoring techniques
- Proficiency in working with Middle School students, focusing on their unique educational and developmental needs
- Strong communication, organizational, and instructional skills
- Experience with structured literacy approaches and evidence-based reading strategies is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Relevant certifications or training in literacy or reading intervention are a plus
