Greenwich Commodities is an energy trading firm operating primarily across the United States, with hubs in Metro Detroit (Michigan), Metro Denver (Colorado), and Singapore. We specialize in Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) and Day-Ahead (DART) trading within competitive wholesale electricity markets. Our mission is to advance a smarter and more sustainable energy future by leveraging quantitative analysis, market fundamentals, and data-driven insights to participate effectively in U.S. energy markets.
We are looking for up to three Summer Interns Power Trading Analyst to work with our trading team in Denver, Colorado. The candidate must be adept at working independently as well as have strong collaborative capabilities across the IT, Trading and Risk teams.
Position Tasks/Responsibilities:
o Build, maintain, research, execute and calibrate electric power models.
o Perform general quantitative analyses with Python
Requirements:
o MS or PhD in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or Business Analytics.
o Minimum GPA of 3.7 for undergraduate studies and 3.8 for graduate studies.
o Strong Python skills.
