Commercial Construction Lead Plumber

The New Construction Commercial Lead Plumber is responsible for overseeing and coordinating commercial plumbing construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong technical knowledge in plumbing systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and project timelines.

Role: New Construction Commercial Lead Plumber

Pay: $90,000-$100,000 average inclusive of uncapped piece rate

Location: Southern Indiana and Kentucky Area

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day field full cycle operations on primarily commercial job sites, ensuring work progresses according to plans, codes, inspections and company standards.
• Identify and resolve job site issues quickly and effectively.
• Provide hands-on guidance and support for complex installations when needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly progress meetings and communicate clear expectations, hold employees accountable if necessary.
• Partner with inspectors, oversee quality checks of all installed work.
• Serve as primary liaison between field teams, project managers, and commercial customers.
• Collaborate with office staff to ensure accurate scheduling, procurement, and billing information.
• Report and document incidents, change orders, and project updates.

Role Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in new construction plumbing, particularly in commercial projects
• Valid Kentucky Journeyman Plumbing license
• Proficient in reading and interpreting new construction blueprints
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, email and IPAD
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of installation standards and local codes
• Ability to manage multiple job sites and prioritize tasks

Preferred requirements:

• Intermediate knowledge/use of industry standard software (I.E Service Titan, or other related systems)
• Prior leadership experience (Lead Technician, Foreman, Supervisor, or Manager)
