Greenway Technologies is seeking motivated individuals who are ready to begin a career in the Fire Alarm industry as a Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to learn a skilled trade with long-term growth potential.
No fire alarm experience? No problem. We are willing to train the right candidate.
You will work alongside experienced technicians learning how to install, service, inspect, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm systems in schools, hospitals, military facilities, commercial buildings, and industrial environments.
What you will learn
- Fire alarm installation and wiring
- Device troubleshooting and testing
- Reading blueprints and drawings
- Use of hand tools and testing equipment
- NFPA and life safety standards
- Customer service and professionalism on job sites
- Inspection, testing, and maintenance procedures
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with installation and service of fire alarm systems
- Pull wire and install devices, conduit, and related equipment
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Complete assigned training through company learning platforms
- Communicate professionally with team members and customers
- Arrive on time and ready to work
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- Construction, electrical, low voltage, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required
