What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transit Sanitation Specialist position at Greenway Public Transportation?

Essential Functions:
· Ensures that bus stops/shelters are clean and safe as per company guidelines.
· Reports unsafe actions, accidents and injuries; responds to emergencies as needed.
· Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of transit vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces, to ensure optimal cleanliness and hygiene standards.
· Operate vehicle wash systems, including manual and/or automated car wash equipment, to maintain vehicle exterior appearance.
· Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, brushes, microfiber cloths, and auto detailing tools to perform detailed interior cleaning and exterior washing.
· Duties include sweeping, mopping, trash, vacuuming and general housekeeping.
· Transports goods or equipment as assigned
· Assist in performing regular Facilities Inspections as assigned.
· Other Duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
· Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, fax machines and copiers.
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Possess a valid NC Driver’s License
Other Requirements:
· Drug and alcohol testing shall be conducted in accordance with Local, State and/or Federal regulations
