Responsibilities
- Lead tour groups through designated routes, ensuring safety and adherence to schedules while maintaining high energy and enthusiasm.
- Deliver engaging storytelling using effective tour guiding techniques to educate guests about historical, cultural, or natural sites.
- Manage group dynamics by building rapport with guests, addressing questions, and ensuring everyone feels included and comfortable.
- Provide clear instructions and information in multiple languages or bilingual settings to accommodate diverse audiences.
- Conduct safety checks and wilderness safety assessments; be prepared to administer first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Maintain excellent customer service by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing overall tour experience.
- Organize and manage tour logistics efficiently, including timing, guest interactions, and route adjustments as needed.
Experience
- Tour guide experience welcomed but not required
- Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to present information clearly and confidently to varied audiences.
- Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to connect with international guests effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience managing tour groups of different sizes and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of outdoor safety protocols, wilderness safety practices, and first aid/CPR certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills combined with storytelling techniques that captivate audiences and enhance the educational aspect of tours.
- Prior experience in teaching or guiding in natural or cultural settings will be considered an asset.
