Pay: $20-$26/hr.

We work directly with 20 municipalities and 50 jurisdictions, operate highly regulated facilities in 10 locations, and have 1,000 employees.

We are seeking a successful Deputy Weighmaster to join our team to assist our organization in providing a successful work environment where our employees can be safe, thrive and give their personal best each day. This position is expected to work out of our office at 980 State Highway 25, Gilroy, CA 95020 and some job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of a highly motivated, professional, self-directed, and enthusiastic candidate Deputy Weighmaster role. This position calls for a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a team of individuals who work well together. The position comes with a high learning curve and the key functions, skills and qualifications are imperative to the success of the role.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Assist customers with service information, provide accurate costs and accept payment for inbound and outbound transactions.
• Ability to learn material classification and review loads.
• Work well in a team setting and work well with others including team members, supervisors, managers, and customers.
• Attention to detail is critical for data entry.
• Manage traffic control and provide site direction to offload the material.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
  
  

Physical Demands

• Climbing stairs up and down frequently throughout the shift
• Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
• Ability to stand up for the entire shift
• Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs
• Constant bending and twisting
  
  

Work Environment

Typical work week is Night Shift; Monday through Friday, however Saturday work may be required. Overtime required as needed. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment and start/end time based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
