We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Debris Box and C&D Sales Representative to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office temporarily located at 675 Los Esteros Rd. in San Jose, CA 95134and limited job-related travel may be required.
Position Summary:
GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Debris Box and C&D Sales Representative to provide support to one or more facilities. This role involves generating new business, building strong relationships with clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the waste management and roll-off services industry. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to close sales.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and prospect new customers within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and consultations to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Proposal and Contract Management:
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to secure agreements that meet company objectives.
- Ensure all sales documentation is accurate and complete.
Account Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, issues, and service requests promptly.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely renewals and upsell opportunities.
Market Research and Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed territory sales targets.
Reporting and Administration:
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Document all sales activities in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in waste management, equipment, construction, or related industries.
- Knowledge of roll-off dumpster services and debris box operations is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate and address client needs.
- Goal-oriented and driven to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of sales experience, ideally in a territory-based role.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client visits and events.
Language Skill:
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
Physical Demands:
- Make sure to list the physical demands, such as push, pull, standing
- Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.

Work Environment:
Combination of office-based and fieldwork, including site visits, trade shows, and community outreach events. Flexible hours, including occasional weekends for events or client meetings.
