GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ABA-Applied Baccalaureate department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
Adjunct Instructor for Advanced Manufacturing will function as a technical expert for all Advanced Manufacturing certificate and degree programs and will be responsible for the instruction of students in a classroom or online environment.
- Teach and train Advanced Manufacturing students according to the Catalog of Approved Courses (CAC) guidelines. Relate instructional materials, discussions, tests, and other course activities to course objectives. Provide students with course syllabus, grading/attendance tracking, and other relevant information. Provide students with timely tests and scores in an honest and fair manner.
- Advise students on academic progress and maintain appropriate office hours.
- Maintain student safety and make sure that all lab shop safety are enforced.
- Maintain audio-visual and/or other materials for courses taught; organize and prepare well for class.
- Maintain appropriate paperwork and keep student files, attendance, and grades up to date.
- Participate in both campus wide and departmental meetings as needed.
- Assist the department head, instructors, and students with preparation for competitions, job fairs, or other community events.
- Read and respond to both campus wide and departmental electronic communications.
- Other duties as assigned by the Advanced Manufacturing Academic Program Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Doctorate or a Master's degree with a major in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial or systems engineering, operations management, or a related field or a Doctorate or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial or systems engineering, operations management, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and or MBA with 5 or more years of industrial experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Quality Management, Project Management, Procurement Supply Chain Management, Lean Manufacturing, Production Process Planning, Finance for Manufacturing, Leadership in Manufacturing. Teaching experience preferred.
