Certified Medical Assistant - Part-Time

Greenville Pediatric Services has had the honor and privilege of being entrusted to care for the families of Greenville and surrounding communities for over 60 years. Our practice has grown to include twelve providers located in three offices in Greenville, Farmville and Winterville. Our team delivers collaborative, proactive pediatric care, from birth through adolescence, to ensure healthier futures for children. Our pediatricians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are well-suited to address the many ailments and injuries that childhood inevitably brings.

We're looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant who shares our passion for serving children and families while helping create a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

We're looking for a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and families, values teamwork, and is looking for a rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced pediatric practice.

What You'll Do

As a CMA, you'll work alongside our providers to help deliver exceptional pediatric care. Your day may include:

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
• Administering immunizations and other clinical treatments within your scope of practice
• Preparing and stocking exam rooms to ensure they're clean, organized, and ready for patients
• Providing patient education and support as needed
• Accurately documenting patient information in the electronic medical record
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all HIPAA guidelines
• Working collaboratively with providers and other clinical staff to ensure an excellent patient experience

What We're Looking For

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or eligibility to sit for the CMA certification exam
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a busy pediatric office
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for caring for children and their families
• Previous pediatric experience strongly preferred, but not required

Compensation

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
