What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Accounting Clerk position at Greenville Federal?
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the support area and will handle: balancing, account research, cash orders, auditing, accounts payable and more.
This position requires reasoning through complex problems and the ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and customers. Must be capable of working independently and have good decision making ability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts and bank accounts.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Daily banking and balancing of accounts.
- Audit file maintenance activities.
- Accounts payable invoices and vendor management.
- Process both domestic and international wires.
- Complete dormant and escheat filings.
- Auditing processes around ATM, Checks, Teller Sheets, Switch Settlement.
- Prepare reports for management review. Review deposits, ach, & credit card entry.
- Maintains high ethical standards while performing all duties in accordance with the Bank’s internal policies and procedures and within prescribed regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least a 2 year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
