What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Analyst position at Greenville Federal?
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the support area and will handle: cash orders, auditing, accounts payable and more. This position requires reasoning through complex problems and the ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and customers. Must be capable of working independently and have good decision making ability.
Specific Job Functions:
- Maintain, Approve, and Post accounts payable invoices
- Assist in resolution of account discrepancies
- File cash orders & Audit branch orders
- Audit file maintenance activities address, Last Name, & Email changes
- Run quarterly UBPR analysis
- Verify wires transfers
- Complete dormant and escheat notifications & filings for unclaimed funds.
- Assist in the reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information
- Update monthly vendor & manager expense report
- Balance and post entries for end of month journals
- Report weekly peer deposit interest rates
- Prepare reports for management review and support management in special projects
- Monthly Waived Fee Report
- Monthly Audit of Reloadable Trans Cards
- Insurance Journal Entries
- Balancing ATM & Teller Cash Sheets
- Auditing Daily dormant status change, New CD’s, Management Hold, & Interest Adjustments
- Daily maintaining of the OPCS Collateral & Public Uploads
- Maintains high ethical standards while performing all duties in accordance with the Bank’s internal policies and procedures and within prescribed regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Document processes and continuous improvement for department tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excel
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
