What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Manager position at Greenville County Parks, Recreation, & Tourism?
Provides daily management of aquatic facility ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of safety.
Supervises the work of personnel; including scheduling, instructing, assigning and reviewing work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, acting on employee problems, selecting new employees, and recommending employee discipline. Offers training, advice and assistance as needed.
Opens, closes and secures facilities at appropriate times.
Receives, receipts and accounts for various fee payments; prepares related records and reports. Ensures the safekeeping of all monies and safe delivery to bank daily.
Assists and coordinates the use of the facility for private events.
Inspects facilities to ensure security and safety.
Supervises and/or performs general maintenance and repair work as required.
Plans and provides group lifeguard instruction to staff and potential staff as needed.
Performs lifeguard duties and assists with cleaning facility as needed.
Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance.
Qualifications:
Must possess or obtain Lifeguard certification; prefer StarGuard Lifeguard Instructor and Starfish Swim Instructor certifications.
Requires two years relevant managerial/scheduling experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, HS diploma (or equivalent), & valid state drivers license.
