Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and talented Transit Storyteller to join our team. As a Transit Storyteller, you will be responsible for capturing and sharing compelling stories related to public transportation through various multimedia channels. If you have a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Duties:
- Develop engaging content that highlights the unique stories and experiences within the realm of public transportation.
- Utilize videography and video production skills to create visually appealing videos that showcase the daily life of commuters on Greenlink.
- Manage social media platforms to share stories, engage with the audience, and increase brand awareness.
- Conduct research to gather information and data for storytelling purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and concepts for storytelling projects.
- Utilize copy editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy and consistency in all content produced.
- Capture high-quality photographs that complement written and visual content.
- Publish the Greenville Connects newsletter monthly to all supporters.
- Work with staff to create graphics, draft presentations, write press releases, and coordinate communications for Greenville Connects activities.
- Organize and coordinate the Greenville Connects podcast, “Bussin’”, insuring that promotion of the content, scripts, and messaging is consistent and goal-focused.
- Represent Greenville Connects in transit-related coalitions and work together with organizational partners to advance coalition campaigns.
- Coordinate projects with other community-based agencies, as appropriate.
- Plan, coordinate, and/or provide assistance for special programs and events.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in videography, video production, social media management, copy editing, proofreading, photography, writing, and research.
- Ability to work with others, support team outcomes, and connect with a broad audience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey stories in a compelling manner.
