Floor Technician
Join our team as a Floor Technician at Greentree Manor, a 90-bed skilled nursing facility in scenic Waterford, CT! In this important role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors, collecting trash, and ensuring infection control standards are followed—all while contributing to the comfort and wellbeing of those in our care.

Floor Technician Duties
Carry out cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Director according to facility policies and procedures
Sweep, mop, and buff tiled floors in hallways and resident rooms on a scheduled basis
Deep clean, strip, and wax resident rooms and common areas as assigned
Remove and replace furniture as needed for floor maintenance
Collect and empty facility trash daily
Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and report defects promptly
Follow infection control and PPE protocols at all times
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold resident privacy and dignity
Complete all required documentation and communicate any concerns to supervision
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous housekeeping or floor care experience preferred
Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
