What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Snack Coach position at Greenstraw?
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty drinks
- Prepare and serve a variety of smoothies, bowls, oatmeal and cold-press juices.
- Help prepare and serve several food items
- Operating toaster ovens, hot plates and other cooking equipment
- Operating a fully functional coffee bar with steaming milk
- Take customer orders and process payments using a Clover POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and specialty drink recipes is a plus
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and cash register operations is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Experience with a La Marzocco is a plus

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is also preferred. Must be able to work Open to 2:30pm at a minimum on weekdays.
